Christine Murray

Christine Murray, a salon owner, began her career in 1981 graduating from Guilderland High School and Albany County Board of Cooperative Education Services (BOCES) Cosmetology School. She started her cosmetology venture in Loudonville, Latham and Colonie at different salons. In 1990, Christine and her sisters opened Scissors III & Co. During their twenty-plus years of operation, they have been recognized for their success including receiving the Chamber of Commerce Women's Small Business Of The Year Award.

Christine is always advancing her education taking numerous classes in coloring and cutting to stay innovative and up to date with current trends. Christine has studied at the Goldwell National Academy, Jingle International Academy and with Paul DiGrigoli and Paul Mitchell. She recently became certified in the Coppola Keratin Complex and Hair Treats Extensions helping to enable Scissors III to be one of the first salons in the area to hold these certifications.

Christine's passion for the beauty industry allows her to transform her clients; she states, "...there is no better feeling then having someone leave my chair felling fabulous and beautiful."

In her spare time, Christine enjoys spending her time with her loving husband, amazing four children and cuddly animals.
